Characterization of chiral quantum materials

Tasks

Deposition and characterization of layers of chiral quantum materials e.g. chiral Weyl semimetals
Development of nanoscale chirality analysis with optical methods
Fabrication of heterostructures with structurally chiral layers
Test of novel spin electronic functionalities in device structures that are based on the chiral materials
Data analysis and publication of results
Active participation in CCE activities and strengthening of collaboration

Requirements

Completed scientific university degree in physics or a comparable qualification
Sound knowledge of solid-state physics
Proficiency in the programming language Python
Excellent communication skills
High level of self-motivation
Good command of English, equivalent to level B2
